Moments to Exchange.

Our love for stop motion animation made it clear that we would want to offer an animation workshop for the Summer School. The focus of the workshop was to give the students a sense and feel of speed, emotion, and movement in their artistic practice. We encouraged them to experiment with various analog stop-motion techniques.

It was very exciting and interesting to hear and see the creative ideas from students from different parts of the world, North and South, and from many different cultures. We were deeply moved how the students managed to get into this medium in only four days. It is always a pleasure for us to experience the fun and joy in the magic of animation. We are happy when students find a new way of expressing themselves through stop-motion. We were most impressed and excited when we saw the end-products of the animation, the hard work and resilience that had gone in to produce the animation was just amazing.
